To avoid any confusion, these are the assignments for the listed night; Monday means the work that should be completed on Monday night for Tuesday's class.
The eighth grade team’s late work policy allows for late work to be turned in for credit only by the end of that calendar week. If a child misses an assignment on Monday, they will be allowed to turn it in by that Friday, four days later. If a student misses an assignment on a Thursday, they will be allowed to turn it in by that Friday, the next day. Exceptions will be made for absences based on the rules in the student handbook. Work of greater importance (such as projects or research papers) may be given more time at the discretion of the teacher.
Students should not cut and paste their vocabulary work. Cutting and pasting is plagiarism and will be treated as such.
In order to ensure that all students are able to attend Littleton Middle School’s Washington, DC, trip, regardless of their family’s financial situation, we raise funds throughout the year to aid students in need. The funds are raised by the students, either at the dump collecting cans for redemption during the month of October, working at the Holiday bazaar or fundraising at O’Naturals in Acton. Each student going on the DC trip must take part in at least one fundraising event, but may participate in more if they so desire. Parents who would like more information about the Littleton Middle School’s Washington, DC, trip scholarships may contact Mr. Levine or Mr. Moran. Signups for the fundraising will take part in Mr. Levine’s classroom starting on Monday. There are shifts available for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 and on Saturdays from 10:30-11:30 and from 2:00-3:00.
My classes are now going to switch their books. Three of the classes, (B, E and G) will be reading The Diary of Anne Frank while the other two classes (C and I) will be reading the play version of The Pearl.
