Yearbook Orders
The deadline for ordering a 2008 Sutton HS yearbook occurred in March. Everyone who ordered by the deadline is guaranteed a book. Orders returned after the deadline have been placed on a "first-come, first-served" waiting list. These orders will be filled from any extra copies sent by the publisher. To be included on this wait list, submit an order form and check for $75 (payable to "SHS Yearbook") ASAP.
The current plan is for 2008 yearbooks, complete with all Spring events, including graduation, to be distributed during Homecoming this Fall. Watch this space for further details.

Senior Portraits for the 2009 Yearbook
We do our best to have a portrait of every senior in the annual high school yearbook. Although you may have many options, the best quality photos are those done at a studio by a professional photographer. If you plan to submit a photo taken by a professional, this should be done during the summer, before school begins. The process (making an appointment, having photos taken, processing proofs, choosing pose for printing, retouching, and delivery) can be time consuming.
We need all senior portraits early in the school year. The reason is simple: In order to get the yearbook delivered when we want, we must send batches of pages to the publisher on a pre-determined deadline schedule. Because few events happen or are completed early in the year, we rely on the senior section for our earliest deadlines. Once the final version of those pages is sent, we cannot go back and add photos. If you do not submit a studio photo for the yearbook, we will likely use the student id photo instead (note: the quality will not be the same as this will not be a retouched image).
Our recommendations:
>choose a photographer in June (find one that
can provide you with a digital image)
>have photos taken in June or July
>keep on top of the situation until you have
your portraits in hand
>submit a portrait to the yearbook adviser
as soon as school begins this fall.
Photographers:
You can use the studio of your choice. However, there are some local photographers that provide services to our school...sometimes without compensation...who could use your business. Please consider them when choosing. They include:
>Cassidy Photo Studios
83 Church Street, Whitinisville, MA
(508) 234-0045
>Laprade Studio
261 Main St, North Smithfield, RI
(401) 769-9600
see web link at bottom of page
>Arsenault Photography
Sutton, MA
Jason has done a limited number of
senior portraits. You may want to
contact him. See web link below.
Specifications:
A digital file from a professional is the best way to submit the image. The image size should be at least 3" x 4" (portrait format)with 300 dpi in either a JPEG or TIFF format file. All images should be in color. DO NOT submit a digital image that you produced yourself by scanning a photo. You may submit a photograph. Photos should have a GLOSSY FINISH, not matte finish, and be no smaller than a wallet size. A 3" x 4" photo is better than wallet size.
DEADLINE:
Senior portraits for the 2009 yearbook must be submitted by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2008. Only those photos submitted by the deadline are guaranteed to be in the yearbook. Those who submit portraits after the deadline risk being omitted from the yearbook. If you miss the deadline, all we can suggest is that you get us a portrait as quickly as possible! We will not hold up production waiting for late photos.
