Science Dictionary
-students should have all the terms needed to complete the science dictionary.

Instructions and terms can be viewed below.  All students have been given the science lab safety rules and the science lab equipment.

                  Criteria and Rubric

Project Due Date:  Friday May 30, 2008

Your Science Dictionary should contain words and definitions compiled from various units beginning in the month of September and ending in May.  Use the words given throughout the school year to construct a science dictionary with an appendix of science lab safety rules and equipment.  

Your dictionary should include:
A.(10 pts) Creative Cover Page Needs the following:
  Title (Make your own title My Science Dictionary  is unacceptable)
  Your Name
  Science Teacher’s Name
  Cohort

B.(10 pts) A table of contents including a list of all the words grouped by trimester and an appendix of safety rules with the correct page numbers.

C.(50 pts) The words of all three trimesters should be combined in the dictionary and listed in alphabetical order with definitions, sentences, and some pictures.  
*Pictures can be drawn or cut from magazines, books, etc., no more than 50 pictures per dictionary, assemble where appropriate*

D.(10 pts) Appendix of science lab safety rules and equipment definitions and proper use should be explained and include a picture.

E.(10 pts) The final project should be presented in a notebook, 3-prong folder, book created by you, report folder, professionally bound ie. Kinkos, Staples, etc.  Dictionaries submitted stapled without a folder will not receive an A.

F.(10 pts) Dictionaries need to be typed to receive full credit.  All written projects must be written in blue or black ink

•All projects must be turned in on the due date.  
•NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE
