Welcome back everyone! This year should be an exceptional one -- American literature ROCKS!
Don't forget to have your summer reading completed. Juniors should have read The Secret Life of Bees. Assessments will be completed within three weeks. Several classes will be reading The Scarlet Letter and completing chapter presentations. Others will be reading Catcher in the Rye and will simultaneously be working on SAT preparation. Double sided journals are a requirement for Catcher and memorizing vocabulary is a necessity for the SAT portion. Everyone must have a dictionary available at home. Surely conversations will become highly sophisticated! Contact me if you have any concerns. My door is always open.
