How fast October flew!! What a great time the class had scooping and carving the pumpkins sent in by Olivia's dad. Thanks a bunch!!It is amazing that it is November and Thanksgiving will be celebrated in a short time. During the month of November we focus on all the blessings God has given us-our family, friends, school, church, our whole world and how we should give thanks to God for our many blessings.
We will also remember in a special way our soldiers and veterans who keep us safe so that we may enjoy all the blessings we have-especially our freedom. November is also the month when we remember those who have died. We do have a prayer request board so please send in names, pictures of those you would like us to remember as we pray throughout the year.
The week ahead:
Reading/Language Arts/ Writing: the vowel "i" in the initial and medial position in words. In a few weeks thge children should be able to blend letters with "a" and "i" and thus make many new words; the word "said"; number words and color words and the main idea of a story.
Math:shapes (The children know the plane shapes but we focused last week on cubes, cylinders, spheres and rectanular prisms) This week we will make the shapes using a geoboard noting angles and lines; writing numerals 6-9 correctly in our handwriting books
Religion: continuation of apreciation for God our Father sending His Son to earth; reverence at Mass.
Social Studies: completion of I Safety unit

Tuesday: Gym and Art
Wednesday: Gym
Thursday: Music
Friday: Spanish and First Friday Mass; Show and Tell
