This is a regular work week (Nov.2nd). We will have a spelling test and a booklet due for Friday. There will be another timed math quiz this Friday. For this Wednesday, please send in a picture of your child. We finally have pen pals. The children wrote to them and Mr. Hannon will be delivering them this week on Thursday. I told the children that they cannot include their address, phone number, or e mail address unless I have written permission from you for them to do so. For religion, we are talking about special meanings for names. I am going to encourage the children to find out the meaning of their names, could be first, middle, last or all three. It will be an extra credit project. They have the month of November to do it in. As you know, we have a high incidence of sickness in this class. I am washing constantly, airing out the room, and having the children wash their hands often. Please err on the side of caution if your child is not feeling well in the morning. I am going to wash the mascots after each use to help prevent the spread of germs.
