Thanksgiving is here and we have many reasons to be thankful. Thank you for your generous response to the canned goods drive and the coat drive. Thank you also for your continued support of Daily Bread. It is so important for the children to see how their families put the words of Our Lord into practice. We have been talking about how Jesus asks us to love God and also love other people.
In class we have been talking about the first Thanksgiving Feast and reading about the trip on the Mayflower. We also have been reading about how the Pilgrims had a difficult time and how they were helped by the Native Americans. Fr. Wilson has asked the children of the school to come to the Thanksgiving Day Mass at St. Clement’s Church dressed as Pilgrims and Native Americans. In Kindergarten we have made Native American headbands which the children may wear to the Mass.
Here are a few upcoming events.
Dec. 4 – Report cards are sent home.
Dec. 17 – The school Christmas Show will be held at St. Clement’s Church. The entire school is expected to participate in the show. More details will come home very soon.
Thank you for all that you do every day. Please remember that we pray for you every day. Let us know if you have any special requests for Kindergarten prayers. Have a blessed Thanksgiving Day.
