Pentecost Sunday – The Birthday of the Church!
This should be a very special day for us to celebrate. We all can use the renewing love of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our world. “Come Holy Spirit and renew the face of the Earth”.
Our days of Kindergarten are quickly slipping away. We are still working in the classroom and on Friday we witnessed the most wonderful event of the year. Five beautiful BUTTERFLIES emerged from their chrysalises during the course of the day!!!!! The children were thrilled to see this happening as we watched.
We have been keeping a caterpillar journal and have been waiting for this event.
We have some important dates to keep in mind.
June 4 (Thurs.) – Field Day – Our last day of Physical
Education will be a special field day event at the
school organized by Ms. Pellerin.
June 7 (Sun.) – Lower Wing Show – Grades Pre-K – 2
Sunday at 2:00pm at Winman Junior High, Toll Gate Complex, Warwick, RI.
All the children have been practicing for this show. Please notify the classroom teacher as soon as
possible if your child will NOT be available to
participate in the program.
The children should wear red, white and blue in
any combination of these colors. Shorts or pants should be worn, no skirts or dresses. The children should wear shoes which they wear for gym, NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS. No hats or other distracting
accessories should be worn.
June 11 (Thurs.) – LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTEN and Pre-K. The Kindergarten children will have a small celebration after lunch at 1:30. Family members are invited to join us in our classroom to help us celebrate.
June 11 (Thurs.) – FAMILY FUN NIGHT is a time to
have fun with the whole school.This starts at 6:30PM
June 12 (Fri.) – Mr. Robinson’s Recital. The children who have been taking music lessons with Mr. Robinson
will participate in a special show at the school at
10:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to hear these budding musicians. The Kindergarten
musicians are no longer in school and will come to
the school at 10:00 AM with their parents for the show.
They do not need to come to the classroom.
