Religion- We will take Chapter 8 test this week. Please remember all in your prayers during this time of Thanks.
English: We have been writing many stories and poems of Thanks and a Journey during a Pilgrimage. We will write memorable x-mas stories.
Math: We have started Multiplication. Make sure your child is practicing their facts. We will be using flashcards.
Reading: Children will be required to read for at least 20 minutes nightly. Below is a list of book reports due for the first half of the year. Please remember these dates. The criteria is listed below.
We have been reading the BFG by Ronald Dahl as a class. The children seem to enjoy it!
Book Report Criteria:
Students must hand in typed reports on the due dates below. Any extra day will result in a 10 point off grade penalty.
Students must include Name of Book, Author, Summary of Book, Conclusion and Would you recommend the Book? Why or Why not?
(All Books Must be Level 4 Reading or higher.)
December- No Book Report- Happy Holidays!!!!
Social Studies: This is a HUGE year for the United States! Start learning the Capitals and States!
January/February- Due Feb. 13th- I will hand out a pamphlet right after Xmas vacation. Your child will need to pick out a Grade Level 4 Book (Please have them get my approval before reading) Then they will neatly fill in the material and illustrate areas on the form.
Social Studies: We have begun Chapter 3 this week! We filled in the East Maps today and talked about New England and Mid Atlantic States. Quiz on Wed.
Test 12-11 ( I will hold a study guide on 12-9 from 3-3:45pm)
Science: We will be having Regal Reptiles come to St. Rose for Grades 3 and 4 starting in Jan.
