The "Survivor Field Day" was a huge success! No one got voted off our island of fun! Thanks so much to the 25 volunteers who shared some time with us to make it a great day. The Coconut Catapult and the Survivor Scavenger hunt seemed to be school favorites.
G.Y.M. Day (Get Yourself Moving Day) has had a great year! About 50 students in grades 3 to 6 have regularly participated each Wednesday and Friday at 8:00 a.m. to stretch and walk/jog/run the 1/3 mile lap or walk and jumprope indoor on cold/wet days. They have completed over 1000 miles! Twenty plus students are "shining stars" displayed under the flag in the APR for completing over 25 miles each. Three students have tallied over 50 miles, with several others approaching this milestone (no pun intended!) Keep up the good work!!
Summer TEMPERATURES have arrived! Please remember to dress in cool clothing for Physical Education classes, G.Y.M. Day (and recess!). Sneakers are a must for student safety! Also sunscreen and a hat/visor are highly encouraged every day.
Keep checking this site to see procedure for signing up for the CVS road race in September! Let's make Cedar Hill the healthiest kids in the state!
