The children have been working on finishing
their research for their science dioramas. They
have in fact even started working on the dioramas
themselves. I'm sure their end results will be
just great but the beginning stages for anything
can be quite challenging and time consuming. We
will continue working on the dioramas this week
whenever our schedule allows. We are on Unit 10
spelling words this week. They are as follows:
body socks
gold most
ago coat
toast monster
collar Ohio
hello road
coach load
fossil volleyball
potato oatmeal
In math, we have been working on solving word
problems which can be very challenging for some.
I have discussed the importance of drawing
pictures, making tables, breaking the problem into
smaller segments, etc. to help them in the solving
process. With lots of practice, it becomes easier.
