Vocabulary: Unit 13 which will consist of index card drills for the week. Homework is 10 times each and writing one sentence for each vocabulary word.
English: Review on parts of speech. Activity sheets, class work and homework.
Reading: We are continuing with the book "Maniac Magee". Class discussion and activity sheets.
Social Studies: Test completed for Chapter 10. Starting chapter 12 "The American Revolution". We will be outlining, review sheets, and vocabulary as well as class discussion throughout the week.
Introduction of the end of the year project. Students selected a state which they will write about and present an informal oral presentation. More information will follow on this.
Religion: Starting chapter 22. Students completed testing on chapter 20 and 21.
GRADE 6 Social Studies:
Students are in the process of giving their presentations on their artists project. Still working on Chapter 28. Chapter test to be announced at a later date.
GRADE 7 Social Studies:
Students just tested on Chapter 8 and will start chapter 9, "The Jefferson Era". The end of the year project was announced where students will work with a partner creating their own invention. More information to follow.
GRADE 8 Social Studies:
Chapter 18. Student presentations moving along. Outlines and section reviews will continue on this chapter. Presentation for 18-2 "Ranchers and Farmers" will be presented by Maggie Mitchell and Julia Hopkins on 5/2.
