If your child is absent a day please write a note stating why they were absent or print and fill out the absentee note on the school's webpage. Please remember to send in a Doctor's note if your child is absent three or more days.

Phonics and Spelling
This week, they will continue with the long e Spelling pattern spelled with e and y. For example: she and messy. They will review the initial consonant blends. The will learn how to add -ed to werbs (past tense).
Reading
They will be reading different short stories and House Repair and The Surprise. They will continue to identify the setting and characters as well as learn how to sequence the stories.
Writing
They will continue their mini-autobiography this week. They will be conferencing with me to review their writing. They will then type their autobiographies on the computer.
Religion
They will finish Chapter 3 on celebrating God's Love. Chapter 3 test is on Tuesday. Then, they will begin Chapter 4. They will continue to practice their prayers.
Math
They will continue Chapter 1 on Addition and Subtraction. They will start a new section on subtracting and learning math vocabulary like: take away and difference. Please practice their Math facts at home.
Social Studies
They will continue to learn about Christopher Columbus. They will make maps about Columbus' voyage.
Science
They will continue the chapter on plants and plant parts. They will read and learn about how we need plants.
