COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY

We are all going to start off the
year with learning computer terms.
Each grade is going to get a list
of terms (grade appropriate) and
study them. Each class will then
be quizzed on those words.
This will be ongoing throughout the year.

The students in grades 3 & 4 are focusing
on using Microsoft Word right now. We are
getting familiar with the program and
learning how to type a project and then
going back to edit the content. This
will include using Spell Check, Thesaurus,
Dictionary, etc...

The children are also continuing to go
onto the following email address to
keep up on their typing/keyboarding
skills as well:

The students in grades 5 & 6 are continuing
to use Microsoft Word as well. We are
going further within the program and
learning more in-depth tools and formats
such as formatting paragraphs, setting
margins and page set-up.

The students in grades 7 & 8 are getting
more familiar with Microsoft Excel.  We are
going to explore more functions and uses for
the program, including spread sheets, detailed
lists, schedules, etc...
