SS: We will be reading and discussing the Southeast Region.  Students will be receiving the S.E. States, Capitals and Abbreviations. Over the next few weeks we will be reading and discussing the Southeast Region.  The Mississippi River is the second longest river in the United States, starting in Minnesota and ending at the mouth at the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana. The largest peninsula in this region is the state of Florida. The climate of the Southeast boasts hot summers and mild winters, perfect for farming cotton, oranges, and other fruits. Coastal areas in the Southeast are frequented by hurricanes.

Science: Unit B: Animal Characteristics

Religion: The students will make Advent shape poems this week and will begin reading chapter 13 Preparing for the Coming of the Lord.

ELA: This week the students will continue writing about a special memory for their personal narratives and continue working with pronouns.  

Remember to send in the money ($2.00) for the music show.

Please make sure your child has a red pen and blue or black erasable pens! Many students do not have pens to use on assignments.

St. Rocco School is a peanut free school. Please do not send in any food that contains nuts/peanut butter.  If you would like to celebrate a birthday in the classroom, please do not send in any food.

Please remember to check your child's agenda daily, this will help your child to stay organized and will help to make you aware of events.
