       Dear Parents,

Welcome to 3rd grade and a new school year at St. Rocco's! We have gotten off to a great start so far and I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of your children!

Please return any forms that you still may have such as 3rd grade policies, Internet Agreement, Photo Form and Supply List money. Book orders are due on Thursday, September 11th. This is completely voluntary but a great way for your child to buy some chapter books at a cheaper price. Checks must be made out to Scholastic Book Club and must be in an envelope labeled Book Order with your child's name on it. Do not send cash. Thank you.

Please remember that our 10:00 snack is a "healthy snack". Students are not allowed to eat cookies, chips of any kind or candy.

If at any time you have any questions please feel free to send a note in with your child or call the school and leave me a message. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Keep in mind that we are a peanut-free school.  Do not send in any snacks or lunch items that contain peanuts or peanut butter. Thank you for helping to keep all our students safe!

This Tuesday is a Professional day. There is no school!

Thursday, September 11th, there will be a prayer service at 9:00 in the church. All are welcome. It is also a free dress down day. You must wear red, white and blue.

Friday is a dress down day for charity. Please send in $1 if your child would like to dress down.

Please check your child's agenda daily for homework and any general notes.

    Our Week Ahead

Spelling: See flash cards above. We will have a spelling test on Friday.

English: We will be working in our English book discussing personal narratives. We will also discuss what makes a good sentence.
