Monday: Continue/Conclude with Chapter 4 Section 4: The New Kingdom. Continue to work on our Vocabulary/Guided Reading worksheet and map of the Cities of Ancient Egypt.
Tuesday: Begin/Conclude with Chapter 4 Section 5: Contributions. This is a very short section on contirbutions of the ancient Egyptians. Complete our Vocab./Reading and map worksheets.
Wednesday: Review all of Chapter 4: Ancient Egypt. We will review all five sections of Chapter 4: vocabulary words, important people, events, and ideas.
Thursday: Test: Chapter 4: Ancient Egypt. I will collect our completed Vocab./Reading and map worksheets.
Friday: Civics: Weekly Reader article: "Where Do the Parties Stand on the Issues?" Class reading and discussion.
Grade 7
Monday: Begin Chapter 4 Section 4: Roots of Self-Government. Homework: Read/Notes pages 120-123. Define all Key Terms. Class Presentations: The Middle Colonies (7A); The Southern Colonies (7B).
Tuesday: Continue with Chapter 4 Section 4. Mercantilism and the Triangular Trade:(pages 120-122).
Wednesday: Conclude with Chapter 4 Section 4. The structures of colonial governments and individual rights and liberties: (pages 122-123). Pass out Section 4 Summary Sheets.
Thursday: Quiz: Chapter 4 Section 4. We will use the balance of class time to complete group class presentations if needed.
Friday: Civics: Weekly Reader article: "Where do the Parties Stand on the Issues?" Class reading and discussion.

Monday: Review/Quiz: Chapter 17 Section 3: A Promise of Freedom. Begin Chapter 17 Section 4: The Hardships of War. Homework: Read/Notes pages 500-504.
Tuesday: Continue with Chapter 17 Section 4. Soldiers' lives and technology; political opposition in the North and problems in the South: (pages 500-502).
