No school Tuesday - Teacher Professional Day

Week of Sept. 8 - Sept. 12:

Grades 6, 7, 8 Writing -  Students in Grades 6 and 7 will type and print their 5 paragraph essay in their Writing  class on Wed. Grade 8 will type and print it on Friday in the Technology lab.

Grade 8 Grammar - Nouns in the nominative and objective case will be reviewed on Monday and there will be a quiz on Wed.  We will then begin rules for making nouns singular and plural possessive.

Grade 8 Vocabulary - We will finish working on the work on the words in Unit 1. Pages 24 thru 27 will be assigned. A test will be given on Thursday.

Grade 7 Silver Grammar - We will continue working on identifying nouns used in the objective case and a quiz on objective and nominative case nouns will be given on Fri.   Nightly homework will be assigned.

Grade 7 Maroon Grammar -  This week students will learn to distinguish between transitive and intransitive verbs. Troublesome verbs will also be covered.  Nightly homework will be assigned.  

Grade 7 Vocabulary - We will finish working on the words in Unit 1. Pages 26 and 27 will be assigned. There will be a test on Friday.

Grade 6 Grammar - Rules for correctly spelling plural nouns, count and non-count nouns, and concrete and abstract nouns will be reviewed this week. There will be a quiz on these next Monday. Nightly homework will be assigned.

Grade 6 Vocabulary - We will finish working on the words and work in Unit 1. Pages 24 thru 27 will be assigned as classwork and must be finished at home if not completed during class time.  Nightly review of the words is essential. There will be a test next Wed.
