We have recently finished reading the story, Flat Stanley. Students have mailed out their own Stanleys to friends and family.
Many Stanleys went to Florida and have just started arriving back at school.
Taylor's Stanley went to visit his Aunt and Uncle in Florida. Stanley came back with many wonderful shells that he found at the beach. Along with that, he had many pictures, postcards and a map to share with the class.
Last week, students had the opportunity to write cinquains. The topic for their cinquain was birds. After they brainstormed ideas and wrote their first drafts, they took to the computer and typed them.
These great poems are now on display in the hallway outside of First Grade!
