BIENVENIDOS

This website is designed for my 5th and 6th grade students. Here you will find homework, vocabulary, and links: useful practice sites/activities. See the attachments at the bottom of this page for grading policy and any other important documents. This year will be a very exciting for the Spanish 5th and 6th grade students, as they travel through Central and South America. All 5th graders will focus on: Who are the people of the Americas and how do they live in their enviornment. The 6th graders will unlock the mysteries of travel by learning about Mexico. 5TH GRADE ¡Bienvenidos al quinto grado! Welcome to the fifth grade!

Students are making a special project for open house on Wednesday, September 22nd.  Parents can stop by room 102 and visit their child's Spanish classroom.

Students should be studying their yellow sheet of useful classroom phrases every night.  Try making flash cards of these necessary phrases to use in the classroom, play memory or practice with a friend from class.
6TH GRADE ¡Qué Pasa estudiantes del sexto grado! What's happening 6th graders?

Students are busy reviewing their school vocabulary from their blue ¡Vamos a la Escuela! study guide sheet.  Students will be making a "mochila" (backpack) project.  All 6th graders have a rubric/description of the project which is due SEPTEMBER 27th.
For the project students need to:  Be creative, make a backpack from construction paper or a file folder.  Make in ink  a list of 20 items students carry in backpacks for school.  Find pictures, of school items in newspaper flyers from stores, clip art pictures from the internet etc.  Students should label each picture and labeling should be done in ink or typed on the computer.
