SchoolNotes.com - Linking Educators to the Community
Welcome to Mr. Haskell's Cinema Literacy Webpage.  Please note I have several sections of both Juniors & Seniors.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ABSENT STUDENTS:   Students who are absent should check their local library, neighbors, local or internet rental.  We can not loan out the movies as there are five sections watching and many films are loaned to us.  Students are responsible for watching and filling out a viewing response sheet (located below between the asterisks).  Most films, if not available in the local library, may be ordered interlibrary loan.

Notebooks are due at the end of this cycle, which will be the end of the first semester.  Notebooks should include the cover sheet, student responsiblity sign-off sheets, pass-outs, notes made during movies, movie response sheets.

You can contact me through this site by e-mail and you can automatically receive a notice that I have added something by following the "notify me" directions from schoolnotes on top of this page.

I have located about 35 of the top 100 films picked by the American Film Institute as the 100 greatest movies of the first 110 years. The new list and the old "top 100 list" are below.  Also below is the parental permission slips to watch the films and the list of the films passed out in class.  If you can loan us a VCR or DVD version of the film, we would appreciate it.  A note ("105", "slater" )before the number of the film means we have access to showing it already.  Thanks to the Slater Library in Jewett City for allowing us access to their film library.
Students can bring in a downloaded permission slip with signatures to their instructor.
