Here's your chance to see two World War II US bombers, the B-17 Flying Fortress and the B-24 Liberator, as well as a P-51 Mustang fighter. They'll be flying into Groton/New London Airport and we have a trip application for afterschool on Tuesday, September 15 from 2:15 until 7:30pm. Besides a walk-through of these four-engined bombers, we'll watch them take off and then visit The Citadel, a game/hobby shop in Groton. Students need $2 for the tour and $7 for a dinner break (or bring a bag lunch). Permission slips are available at the Simulation Club Bulletin Board in the cafeteria. Return the bottom to Mr. Haskell ASAP.

NEXT ACTIVITY DAY: in the Fall of 2009
WEST POINT 2009 a successful trip! Twenty-one club members attended Point-Con XXXII in April and had a blast. Thanks to Justin & Zac, the Simulation Club's bulletin borard has been updated with a poster, map and photos of the event. We are looking for help to put together comments and photos for an electronic report to be posted on the school's website.
POINTCON XXXII a great time! The Simulation Club had a one-hour private tour of Fort Putnam with a presentation my Major Rider of the Academy's History Department. There were many miniature games set up and club members participted in most every one of them. Vic Gregoire was a first-time chaperone and he GM'd a game of Russians vs. Japanese in 1939 that was well-received.
The club wishes to thank our chaperones: Mr. Gregoire, Sergeant Rahill, Ms. Audette, "Cookie" Omerod and Mr. van den Berg.
NOTE: If want an AUTOMATIC e-mail note every time this site is updated, please click on the blue "notify me" link just to the left of the "schoolnotes" pencil above this window. That way you'll be able to check on us when we add a meeting for the club, or a game for Ellis Con!
ELLIS CON XX was held on Saturday, November 15th, 2008; our TWENTIETH CON! We had the largest attendance ever with 118 paying customers through the door plus about 25 of our own members. We raised enough to pay the bulk of our weekend at West Point next Spring.
IMPORTANT INFO. ON ACTIVITY DAY
This year's Activity Day (noon to two and you can take the bus home) will be staffed by Ms. Manning, Ms. Tarkowski and Mr. Haskell, so thirty (30) students can sign-up; we currently have openings for ten (10) more students so go to the office and sign up. WE will continue to meet in the Aircraft Hanger, but just inside the door where we met last time.
