A Thought: We live in the information age. More than at any other time in the entire recorded history of the world, this is a time when all of us are bombarded by new and recycled ideas. Everyday we need to make decisions about which information is right, good, wrong, bad, useful or useless. Literature exposes us to a variety of ideas from many different points-of-view. It's our job as learners to understand new information, to use it and make judgments about it. We must all become critical thinkers, capable of making educated choices and decisions. In L.A./Lit. we'll:
*explore ideas
*develop and support opinions
*and use old and new knowledge in thinking,
writing, and actions.
In today's complex world, we must all THINK, and in the process become wise consumers and creators of ideas in this information age.
