It is great to be back at school working with you. It will be an exciting year. Parents, please feel free to stop by and become immersed in a cultural experience.
We have had very meaningful discussions about our goals for the year and the behaviors that will help us reach those goals. The goals and behaviors have been posted in the classroom so that we can refer to them throughout the year. I look forward to working with each one of you this year!
4th GRADE -
My goal this year is to expose students to the language and have them participate in a very active roll. They met the puppets we will be working with this year, learned about the calendar and procedures for class.
Students are learning about animals. They are also reviewing colors. In this unit students will read a story about animals and colors, learn about likes and dislikes and make a class book to be shared with their families.
6th GRADE -
Unit: Mexico
Students are learning about Mexico; its sites and culture. Students are learning about verb tenses and how to conjugate verbs in the present tense.
Quiz on verb meaning: April 6th. Go to the link below to practice the verbs (6th grade- present AR meaning).
*** If there is no assigned homework, students should spend 10-15 minutes studying vocabulary from previous sections.
7th GRADE
Unit: La Historia de España
Students are reviewing numbers and learning about the important dates in the History of Spain.
Quizlabs# 2 weekly quizlabs due every Monday
Every Monday 2 assignments will be posted. Students have a week to complete them.
After the due date all quizlabs will expire and student will not be able to take them.
8th GRADE
Unit: La Feria
In this unit students learned about demonstrative adjectives. They are having a Fair to sell items from a chosen store.
