Welcome to the Assistant Principal's page. My name is Mrs. Parker, and I am one of Kaynor's three assistant principals.
CAPT testing has ended, and spring is ahead of us! The next big event in this month is the SkillsUSA competition, which is being held on Friday, March 28 at Vinal T.H.S. in Middletown. Students who wish to qualify must respond to the advisors, who have worked hard to be sure that all students who wished to qualify, could take the test during month of February Kaynor had 131 students test, and 32 students qualified to go forward in the hands-on competition. The competition is in areas of their trade/technology, interview, math skills--to name a few. THose students who are winners are recognized at an event which includes all those who have won, from all the C.T.H.S.S. schools, and the national competition, for those who go still further, is in Kansas City at the end of June.
All Kaynor students will have Friday, March 28, as a vacation day from school, as those who are competing at SkillsUSA attend the competition.
The second marking period has come to a close. All staff are submitting their grades, and report cards will follow, being mailed home after perhaps two weeks.
Please be aware that all teachers and counselors have their own e-mail addresses and phone extensions, should you wish to leave a message concerning your student.
Of course, April vacation is soon to be here, also. The week of April 14 through April 18 is Kaynor's week off. Before that time, there will be other events. Please check back at our Kaynor website to keep current about what's going on here.
