Solve problems involving transformations, scientific notation, exponential growth, measuring, and estimating.


Cycle 12 2/4/08-2/8/08 (5 days): Freshmen

Writing Linear Equations

Function Machine: find equations by giving input values and receiving the output values

Given word problems involving linear data, find two data points, determine the slope, find the y-intercept, state the equation, and then make a prediction


Cycle 11 1/24/08-1/31/08 (6 days): Sophomores

Practice CAPT problems:  learn how open-ended items are scored

Create scatter plots and line graphs: title, label axis, scale axis, and when to use break lines

Use engineering line for unit conversions and rate conversions

Solve probability problems

  • find the slope of a line from a graph
