Teen leadership is an exciting new course designed to develop leadership qualities in a nuturing environment.
Because Teen Leadership is a highly interactive
experience, you will have the opportunities to present a variety of speeches, participate in group discussion and activites, and write daily journal entries based on classroom experiences. This program will have tremendous impact on you! And if you give 100% to the program, you will be incredibly successful, not only in this course, but for the rest of your life!
What is more important in Teen Leadership is that you learn and use the skills of a leader. Additionally, you will be challenged to evaluate, develop, and apply the principles that will be the foundation of your life. You will learn by DOING, which will build your self-confidence by learning how to speak, how to present your ideas, and how to work cooperatively in challenging situations, and with challenging people.
You will grow and learn as never before!
I look forward to an awesome year with all of you!
Remember: Return With Honor
Watch your thoughts….
They become your words.
Watch your words…
They become your actions.
Watch your actions…
They become your habits.
Watch your habits…
Your habits become your character.
Watch your character…
It becomes your destiny.

How to earn extra credit points and share quality time with your family!
THE SHARING PLATE
The sharing plate idea began after September 11, 2001. That September morning, all we wanted was to have our families safely home. We all have many positive thoughts that we don’t always share or never find the right time to say. There is no time like the present.
Directions: You are “The Sharing Plate” person. Each family member or guest at the table is to say something nice about the person with the plate.
The rim of the plate has different phrases to help you get started. Look inside your heart and say it!
This is an expression of Appreciation!
Each day is a gift, so give the gift of appreciation every day!
When you return to school the next day, you have to share your experience during “Good News” with the class.
This will allow you to be given +3 points to your final grade at the end of the cycle. You are allowed to do this only once per year for extra credit, but feel free to keep the tradition going in your homes!
Share the good news………………What did they say:
Thank you……
You’re special…...
I’m glad……
I appreciate……
I like when…….
I hope you…..
Have fun and enjoy your family!
