The Kaynor Plumbing Shop is up and running for the 2007-2008 school year. This year promises some interesting challenges for the the staff and students to meet. As construction continues on the overall facility, the shop is in line to begin a total make over later this year.
The students are actively engaged in some large scope offsite projects in Prospect and Wolcott. Later in the year they will be starting another major rough and trim project in Cheshire. Currently the seniors and juniors are involved in a muti-zone heating project.
This year our trade is up for reauthorization. Our TTAC members have been extremly helpful in gather the information and forwarding the packets to our committee. We are confident our program will again be recognized as a top performer.
Our students have been lucky to recieve newly updated text and software to address the technical changes and help them prepare for the trade.
As the year progresses we will log in the newest information for those who whis to keep abreast of our program.
