With the holiday season upon us stress and irritability are sometimes inevitable. The unpredictable weather, the crowded stores, and the concern about finances often make for less than perfect celebrations.
No matter what holiday you celebrate, or even if you don't, try to take some time for relaxation and quality time with your high school student. You would probably be surprised to know that most of the students I work with actually would like to have more fun time with their parents. They often talk of parents working a lot or not spending time home with them. While parents may think that their child only wants to be with friends this is often not the case. As much as children may squawk they really do like time with mom and dad.
So, enjoy the holidays, have some fun and try to relax and savor the moment.
