Remember to see me or your classroom teacher and get help before you get behind in your work. Keeping on top of things is a huge stress reliever.

MORE FOR PARENTS AND SOME FOR STUDENTS
In math labs we address skills your child needs to pass CAPT, re-teach deficit areas for shop, and reinforce his or her math class topics.
Your grade 9 child may be in math lab with Ms. Buell and me. Of course s/he can stay after school with me or Ms. Buell on most any day.
Both teachers have their own websites if you need to contact them.
If your child struggles in any particular subject,PLEASE CALL YOUR CHILD'S TEACHERS AT LEAST ONCE PER CYCLE to check on your child's progress. Those students whose parents are in regular communication with their child's teachers have a higher sucess rate in academics.
CAPT PREPARATION
1. MATH CLASSES AND MATH LABS BEGIN CAPT PREP AFTER THE DECEMBER BREAK.
2. If your child is planning to be on vacation, s/he will miss some review. S/he can stay on any day with his/her math teacher to do extra review.
3. If your child has Ms. Henao, who is on pregnancy leave, your child may contact me or any of us in the special education department and we will arrange for your child to stay with another math teacher for this review.
4. There are CAPT prep study halls as well.
5. CAPT takes place feb 27th - Mar.18.
