Welcome to all new students and welcome back to our returning students.

Everyday for the entire school year on any given day, you can find your math assignments posted here. If you want to contact me, you can also do that through schoolnotes.

Today is freshman orientation so no freshman classes will meet today. Many of the seniors are mentors so there is no pre cal or calculus homework.

Tomorrow we begin. Get ready.

Alg I, Please start the class with a quiz (it’s the handwritten one, “Multiplying Monomials”); they should finish this in 8-10 minutes (some will try to take the entire period, but this is review so don't give them too much time); as they finish the quiz, please give them Dividing Monomials. This is a two sided worksheet that they should complete in class and hand in.

For homework, please give them “Practice Worksheet 4-10.” If they finish the class work before the end of the period, they can begin the homework.

Pre Cal, Honors Pre Cal, everyone in the class should have a packet on exponential functions that we have been working on for a while now. Have the students turn to section 5 of this packet (this is the section that includes the “change of base” rule) and complete the odd exercises, numbers 3-55 on a separate piece of paper. I want them to show their work and to clearly label their solutions. They may work together on this and must hand in what they complete at the end of class to get credit.

Calculus, Honors Calculus, everyone in the class should have a packet on derivatives of algebraic functions; this is part of the large handout we have been working on all year. On page 750 of this packet, students should neatly complete the even numbered exercises in 49-4 and hand them in.

Alg I, Please collect homework (Practice Worksheet 4-10). Please start the class with a quiz (the typewritten one “Quiz 2 mp #3”); they should finish this in 10 minutes (some will try to take the entire period, but this is review so don’t give them too much time); as they finish the quiz, please give them Practice Worksheet 6-3. When they complete it, please have the hand it in. Collect it at the end of the period whether or not it is complete.

No homework over the long weekend. There is a test on this cycle’s material next week, however, so review.

Have the students turn to section 6 of this packet (this is the section that includes the “properties for solving exponential and logarithmic equations”) and complete the odd exercises, numbers 5-63 on a separate piece of paper. I want them to show their work and to clearly label their solutions. They may work together on this and must hand in what they complete at the end of class to get credit.

As this is the last section in this unit, please tell the class they can expect a test on this material next week, likely on Tuesday.

Honors Calculus, everyone in the class should have a packet on derivatives of algebraic functions; this is part of the large handout we have been working on all year.
