Mr. Keen
This year seems to be flying by.
As of the end of Marking Period 2, Sophomores will be entertaining the concept of FEDERALISM. This information can be found in CHapter 4. WIth CAPT Testing it is difficult to give exact timelines but that is our focus for early March.
At the beginning of MP 3 Freshmen will start their study of Africa. WIth the recent events in the Sudan and the status of their "president" in question this is a great time to study that region. We will also review the essentials of Human Rights during this period of study.
As for my Seniors!!!!!!! We will aggressively battle Senioritis in Marking Period 3 by covering topics essential for success in the real world. Those topics include TAXES, and we will look at the varoious sources, Business Formations, The American Labor Force, Marketing, and lastly we will complete a "job readiness inventory". This is an optimistic amount of work. Time, as always, is tight. But we will do our best. The final component to our study this year will be the submission of stock portfolios. A safe and conservative due date for assignment is 5/26/09.
