Grade 6 World Geography

Thursday October 29
Students continued their work on the maps of Canada and the United States.

Homework:
Finish maps for Monday

Wednesday October 28
Students went over Ms. Pullin's handout packet. They then received time to work on U.S. and Canada map activity.

Homework:
Sign tests
Finish project

Tuesday October 27
Projects were collected. Tests were handed back. Time was given for students to work on Ms. Pullin's activity from yesterday and the class culture map.

Homework:
1. Class culture map due tomorrow
2. Ms. Pullin's landforms and waterways handout
3. Sign test for Thursday

Monday October 26
Ms. Pullin conducted a lesson on the major landforms and waterways of the United States and Canada. The activity from class will be continued tomorrow in class.

Homework:
5 themes project due tomorrow
Class culture map due Wednesday

Grade 8 U.S. History

Thursday October 29
French and Indian War was introduced and a variety of activities were completed.

Homework:
Governor's Essay due Monday
Read pages 143 - 148.
Define Albany Plan of Union, Battle of Quebec, Treaty of Paris, Proclamation of 1763
How did the result of the French and Indian War make the colonies unite?

Wednesday October 28
Time was given for Gubernatorial Election Essay

Homework:
Essay due Friday

Tuesday October 27
Students were able to examine the major issues and topics about the upcoming Gubernatorial election.

Homework:
Essay about who you would vote for.

Monday October 26
Continuation of Friday's activity

Homework:
Who would you vote for governor? Write a full essay due Wednesday

Friday October 23
Students went over different views about government and politics. A survey was completed and Monday they will determine if they are more Conservative or Liberal.
