On this page you will find information for the following classes: French 1,2,2H,3/4H, Writing Workshop and Critical Analysis. Major tests and projects will be posted but not daily assignments. Students must accept responsibility for these assignments since it is part of their learning experience.
Please note that French 1 and 2 classes have homework on a regular basis. They should be working in their workbooks on the current chapter as we cover each section. Each night they should also review the lesson covered that day. By going over each lesson they increase their retention rate, become aware of areas of difficulty and reinforce what they learned in class. French 3H/4H has a new and exciting program which comes with an internet supersite where much of their work can be completed.
French 1/1H
Students are working in chapter 2. They will be taking their first quiz in the chapter this week. They should be working in Workbooks and on Grammaire which will be due on the day of the test.
French 2/2H

Critical Analysis
The purpose of this one marking period course is to help students to critically analyze literary works and to be able to write about them in a mature and inciteful manner in order to become better prepared for college. Students have completed section 1 and are currently working on another section of the book. A paper will be due next week.
Writing Workshop
This one semester course was created to aid students in sharpening their writing skills as well as reviewing the basics. They will be doing a lot of writing--most of it on their computers. Everyone can improve his or her writing. Students are expected to complete their assignments in a timely manner. Some credit will be awarded for late work but only for a brief period of time. We are close to completing the first chapter and will have a test on this section shortly. Students have completed several assignments and will be doing a 5 paragraph essay this week.
