Those students that have Mr. Price will be having a soccer test on Tues. 9/23.  It is taken directly from the notes (in fact all of his tests are directly from the notes). Notes will be checked today for accuracy (modifications if needed)and we will practice in class.  A retest if needed will be given on Thurs. to those students that put forth effort   to learn the material. Thank you HB

Dear Students and Parents,                        Sept 19,2008

I am back!  But this is the new me.  I have changed teaching positions, and I'm now working as a specialized instruction teacher focusing in the areas of science and social studies.  My job is to assist students in their quest for a successful sixth grade school year. I am teaching in tandem with two wonderful teachers, Mr. Storch and Mrs. Meyer.  Eventhough my instructional focus is science and social studies, I help students in all of their academic areas.  While in the science and social studies classes, the teachers and I plan and work together with all of the students to maximize the learning process while reducing the student/teacher ratio.

For me, change is a good thing, and I feel energized returning to my roots. This teaching position is not new to me.  While being Highly Qualified in English and Writing, with an Elementary Education concentration, my Bachalor's Degree is in Special Education, (with an Elementary Education minor), and my Master's degree is specifically in Learning Disabilities with a certification as an LDTC (Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant). Before my 18 years of working in the classroom, for 12 years I taught in a resource room setting for part of the day, and inclusion (in class support) for the rest of the day, just as I am doing now.

I look forward to working closely with you to ensure the best possible education for your child.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questiosn or concerns.

Thank you

Sincerely,
Helen Bahoosh
MEd
