Hello everyone!
This week I would like to introduce you to a fantastic website which will help your children master their spelling list words!
The website is www.spellingcity.com
I have listed this week's spelling words on it.
All you have to do is access the site-click on Find a List-teacher is lcontey-hit Search-click on Review List-Ships-then click on Test-Teach- or Game to have the children get involved in so many activities using their new list words!
I have sent home a flyer with some more info.
The children have been exposed to the site through our computer lesson on Monday. Help them have fun and learn using this special site.
Reading-- This week we are reviewing skills through our story of Ships. The sh,th, short a and short i and the ck sounds
Spelling - The list of words was written on 3x5 cards.
they should be practiced each evening.
Printing-We are practicing the letters Ff, Gg,Mm and Nm. We practice every day to have better control over small muscles needed for good printing.
Math-OUr math for this week is understanding subtraction, using subtraction signs in number problems.
Social Studies-We are learning about picture maps and directional words North, South, East and West
-Science- We are learning about farm animals and products we use from farms.
