Reading: This week we will be reading, "New Shoews for Silvia" It is a story that explores waiting and growning up. We will be reviewing all long vowel sounds and blends. We will be studying the "Bossy R" as in park. We will be focusing on comprehension as well.
Grammar: We will continue learning about subjects of sentences and introduce predicates.
Spelling: car, star, dark, bark, part, park, every or, took and morning.
Bonus word: quarter
Math: We will be continuing money this week. Please have children count various combinations of coins including pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Please continue to practice math facts, as well, to improve speed and accuracy in computation.
We have SEVEN May birthdays. I will include them in next week's homework online.
I hope all our moms had a wonderful Mother's Day. I enjoyed seeing everyone on Friday. Didn't the children do a super job?
