Dear Families,
On this beautiful Memorial Day we keep in our thoughts and prayers all who served their country and who lost their lives defending freedom and justice. This special day is for all the men and women who made the supreme sacrifice for their Nation. We also keep in our hearts the families who bore this sacrifice. May God continue to shower blessings on them all.
We return tomorrow. Our class is excited about our class trip to Barnes & Noble on Wednesday, May 27th.We will be leaving the school at 9:30 and arrive at B&N shortly thereafter. We will meet you there and enjoy spending some time looking for summer reading that is required for the next grade, as well as additional reading.
The children may wear their book fair t-shirts, if they purchased them, with their jeans and sneakers. Otherwise they can wear their SFX gym t-shirt with their jeans and sneakers. It promises to be a really pleasant time!
As we roll along into the end of the year, we will be getting ready for our finals in religion, reading, math, and language arts. I believe your children are prepared and have usually done well on spiral reviews at the end of many tests they have taken throughout the year! I have their study guides ready for each of these subjects and that should ease your mind about the finals.I will give out the study guides this week. There should be no stress, but looked upon as an opportunity to show all they have learned. It is an awesome amount of material and skills your children have already achieved. Your children are AWESOME!!!
