When asked to write what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving-family,friends and teachers were the most popular responses!
The children have been focusing on the theme of how a family is an example of a special group. In Religion,they imagined that the Holy Family came to visit and drew a scene showing their family getting ready.
Soon,each first grader will present a collage that they will make at home,showing family members. I know it will be a perfect concluding activity to our Social Studies Unit- "We Belong".
Outside our classroom features writing that tells what makes each first grader's family special and beautiful illustrations showing a time to remember with their family.
