ART SCHEDULE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR
Mondays - Grades 4,5,6,7,8
Wednesdays - Grades K,1,2,3,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy New Year!
All the students at S.F.X. have been busy at work with Open House and Catholic Schools Week approaching.  The theme for this year's Catholic Schools Week is Faith, Academics and Service.  All the students from K to 8 have completed a project telling how their lives relate to these three themes.
Grades 4-8 have designed and colored folders to welcome prospective students to our upcoming open house.  Many students new to S.F.X. fondly remember getting their student designed folders when they came to visit St. Francis and were especially happy to be able to make a folder to help a future student feel welcome.
In the lower grades, the students have equipped adorable penguins with patterned scarves and hats.  These "Winter Wonderland" penguins are hanging outside the art room.
Chinese New Year was on January 23rd and 2012 is the Year of the Dragon.  Grade 3 has their dragons on display in the art room, while grades 1 and 2 took their dragons home.
Mrs. Vitulli's Craft Class takes place on the first Monday of each month.  It is open to students in grades 3-8 on a first come, first serve basis.  Each month the project changes.  Students are required to sign up and pay for each class they choose to attend.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email or stop in the art room on a Monday or Wednesday.
Thanks,
Mrs. Vitulli & Mrs. Dwyer
