Dear Parents,
I enjoyed our conferences on report card day. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.
Our saint for November is Jeanne Jugan who was recently canonized by Pope Benedict VI. She devoted her life to working with the elderly and founded the Little Sisters of the Poor. The third graders are imitating Saint Jeanne Jugan by showing kindness and respect to elderly relatives and neighbors. Also, each child has brought in 25 cents of his/her own money which we sent to Queen of Peace Residence, a home for the elderly run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. Along with the donation we sent beautiful Thanksgiving cards made by the children.
