Short Answer:
1.   Different types of governments in the Middle East include monarchies (Saudi Arabia, Jordan); democracies (Turkey, Israel); republics (Egypt, Iran)
2.  The main goal of Pan-Arabism is to unite all Arabs.
3.  Obstacles to pan-Arabism include religious and ethnic differences as well as loyalty to nation over loyalty to other Arabs.
4.  Major economic goals of the Middle East include ending western control, industrialization, modernization, and improving agriculture.
5.  Middle Eastern nations have improved agriculture through desalination, fertigation, and land reform.
6.  Oil-rich nations in the Middle East have a tremendous deal of power and wealth.  They can use this money to modernize, industrialize, improve health care and education, build up cities and roads.  Even nations without oil can benefit by sending workers to countries with oil industries and receiving loans from oil-rich nations.
