Dear Parents:
The children no longer need their recorders & music books, I am having the children bring them home. The children will have recorder classes in fifth grade, so please put your child's recorder & music book in a safe place. If either one is damaged or lost over the summer you will be responsible for paying for a replacement.
The children should hand in their 25 books read starting Friday, June 6, 2008. Remember summer school is required if they do not read the mandated 25 books for the State of New York. If you are using a book that was done for a book report include the report inside the 25 books or it will not count. I need proof that the book was actually read. If you threw it away just summarize it briefly as the outline states to do.
The children need to know the rosary for June. They will be tested on Friday, June 6th, 2008.

Please make sure to keep all books covered. The soft covered workbooks must be covered using clear contact, and the hard covered textbooks with book covers or book socks. Remember if the textbooks are damaged you will be charged to replace them.
REMEMBER TO Check the calendar for important information and updates.
June 9th, 2008 is the last book report for the school year. The children can choose any genre they wish since it is a choice book. Please use the handout you used for the Adventure report to complete your book report.
On June 10th I am collecting the 25 Books that the children should have completed by now. The children will not get these books back since we will keep them in file.
If your child is absent for any reason please remember to bring in an absence note for that day. It would also be beneficial if you could pick up their homework afterschool so they do not miss any work.
Please check to make sure your child does not bring things to school that will distract them from their studies. I appreciate the effort on your part.
