The school year is almost over. I will be sad to say goodbye to my first grade students! We have had quite an eventful year.

Thursday, June 4th- Science
Friday, June 5th_Social Studies
Monday, June 8th-Religion
Tuesday, June 9th-Math
Wednesday, June 10th-Language Arts
*On Monday, June 8th, please make sure the children are dressed in their regular or summer uniform and NOT their gym uniform. We will be attending the Graduation mass and need to be dressed appropriately.
I thank everyone who has sent in donations for Grocery Bingo. Every little bit helps!! Don't forget to join us parents on April 24th at 7pm for our Grocery Bingo. There will be a lot of wonderful prizes to be had.
Please work with your children on recognizing long and short vowel sounds. This is very important and has a lot to do with work we will be doing in class.
Don't forget to save your Box Tops for Education as well as Campbell Soup labels.
**Don't forget to have your child read for at least 20 minutes a night!
It is also important that you help your child with their reading comprehension. This skill can be improved if you ask your child questions about what they have read. This skill will no only help them achieve in Language Arts but also in every subject.
**Money is an important concept for your children to practice. Please continue to review this with your child.
**Practicing handwriting each day will improve neatness.
