This is a note to keep you up to date of some of the events that are coming up. I need your help.
Our grocery bingo night will be coming up on April 11th. The first grade would like to make a basket for one of the prizes. I thought a picnic basket would be different. If each child would bring in a donation of three dollars that would cover the cost of the things I would be able to buy. I had thought of a fruit basket but fruit goes bad very quickly. Thank you for helping me out and supporting our school.
It's time to start thinking about our science project. Have you looked for your shoe box yet? We are working on animals and their habitats. Habitats are places where animals live. So you are going to make your shoe box into a habitat for an animal. Example: If I was going to pick a bear I would make my shoe box into a forest or woods and use toy bears or draw bears and put them into the woods.
If I were to choose fish I would make the ocean and find some fish. Any questions? Then get 2 index cards and print you name and grade on one and place that on top of the box. The second index card is to write three sentences about your project. For example: My project is about a ....... It lives in the ........It likes to eat.........Place this index card sticking out from under the box so we can read it.
Remember report cards are being given out this Friday which means early dismissal. If you cannot come please let me know and I can set up an appointment for you next week.
