     Get tests signed


Social Studies- WB p. 105
     Test Wednesday, May 21 on chapters 16  and 17 Lessons 1 and 2 in each chapter



Religion- Test Wednesday on Chapters 22 and 23
    
    


Reminders-  

Wednesday is the dress Rehearsal for the spring show.  Students should wear their costumes to school that day.  Students should also be in school between 7 and 7:30 PM on both Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Friday is the Spiring Carnival.  Chips, drinks and cotton candy will be sold.  Chips and drinks are $.50 each and cotton candy is $1.  If you wish to purchase shncks brind the money with you on Friday.

After the Civil War the building of the transcontinental Railroad speeded up settlement of the west.  The project, once thought to be impossible took six years and the hard work of many laborers.

Write a well-organized essay about the building of the first railroad to span the continent of North America.  

Make sure you:
ćInclude an introduction of at least two sentences
ćDescribe how the Transcontinental Railroad came to be built
ćIdentify the workers who built the Railroad
ćExplain why this Railroad was important to the United States
ćWrite a conclusion of at least two sentences
ćProofread your essay and rewrite if necessary
