MY EXPECTATIONS:
1. All interactions in our class will be positive and respectful.
2. You are expected to participate in class activities and discussions, as it is calculated into your participation grade.
3. LATENESS and CUTTING are NOT allowed, and will reflect negatively on your quarterly and overall grades for this course.
4. All assignments must be handed in ON TIME. All work must be neat and reflective of your own efforts. Homework will ONLY be accepted late during the week that it is due. In such cases, you will receive half credit for completing the assignment. There are no exceptions!
5. You are responsible for ALL work completed in class and assigned at home. If you are absent, you must make up the work and hand it in on time. Upon returning to school, you are also responsible to immediately make up ALL quizzes and exams missed during your absence.
6. You are required to take a Regents Examination based on this course in June. The exam tests on material addressed in 9th AND 10th grade Global History & Geography. Therefore, there will be regular exams on the ninth grade curriculum throughout the school year. ALL exams will be announced in advance. However, there may be unannounced quizzes.
7. You are responsible for and expected to keep up with all reading assignments, as I may not cover every aspect of the curriculum in class.
Extra Help will be held after school on Tuesdays until 2:30 PM. If you would like extra help on any other day or time, please see me anytime throughout the school day to set up a more convenient appointment.
