I wish you all a wonderful summer vacation and the best of luck as you all make your way to middle school. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and I hope you all came away learning lessons in content areas as well as life. I will miss all of you! Make sure to come back and visit anytime!
And remember...I don't have any former students...once a student of mine, always a student of mine! If you need anything...you know where to find me!
To Class 5-2 2011-2012,
I hope you are reading this while enjoying a wonderful, restful, and memorable summer vacation...But with all good things...they must come to an end sooner or later! So as your summer winds down and you take your last few dips in the pool or make your last sand castle at the shore, begin mentally preparing yourself for the upcoming year!
I urge you to start reading some good books. We are going to be reading ALOT this year. Yes it is true that you will have a reading assignment almost every night for HW...Make sure you have a supply of great books to read. If you don't like to read...you're out of luck! But I will promise that by the end of the year you will leave my class being a better reader.
Some of you are either former students reading this to check up on your favorite teacher or you just got a letter saying that you will be with me this year. I am sure that you have heard plenty about me from friends...Regardless of what you heard...There is one thing you can be certain about...I am going to push you this year to become a better student. I am going to push you to be more independent and responsible for your own work and actions. I am going to push you to become a better person and a better citizen of our school. I am going to get you ready for middle school...even if you don't want to leave!
So rest up...go get your supplies...and be ready to work on day one! Carpe Diem...(Look it up!)
