Welcome to my class!!This is going to be a very exciting, challenging and rewarding year in 4th grade. My students will develop more responsibility and gain greater independence as they progress throughout the year.
I am looking forward to working closely with you and your child to ensure their success. Many activities and interesting topics have been planned in all curriculum areas. As the new year commences, together we will set positive goals so that every student will achieve success as a life-long learner.
Here are several helpful reminders to help your child achieve his/her full potential:
*continued practice of multiplication and division facts every night--greater accuracy and speed
*independent reading of various genres for pleasure amd record on monthly reading logs that are collected
*kindly check homework folder every night for notices, assignments, tests to be signed, etc. At the end of each week, PLEASE CLEAN OUT!!
*have your child bring a healthy snack daily
*Agenda/assignment pad must be signed EVERY DAY!!
*keep a writer's journal to sustain written skills
*Continual support and praise to promote growth
and success
I certainly appreciate all of your efforts in preparing your child for a wonderful year in 4th grade. Thank you for your support, encouragement, guidance and ALL the supplies!! Parents and teachers working together make for a winning team! It is my intention to make every child feel SAFE, SECURE AND SUCCESSFUL!! It was so wonderful meeting you at our "Meet the Teacher" sessions. It is important that you encourage your child to carefully check over work for completion and accuracy. Our plan is in place and now it's time to pick up the pace!! TEAMWORK!!
