Quarter Homework Assignments:

Class materials: 3 ring binder with paper, folder and a writing utensil every day.  Your binder will be checked and graded at the end of each quarter.  Make sure it is neat and you have kept all handouts!

Grading Policy:
1. Tests, DBQ's and Projects (40%)
2. Quizzes (25%)
3. Homework (25%)
4. Class Work (10%)

A note about tests: If you are absent the day before the test, it does not excuse you from the test.  Also, if you are absent on the day of a test, it is your responsibility to make it up during an extra help session within 2 weeks!

Due dates are important - be sure to hand in all homework assignments on time!  10 points will be deducted each day an assignment is late.

A note about attendance: according to Patchogue-Medford High School policy, students will receive an attendance failure upon their 28th absence.  The course will then have to repeated to receive credit.  Also, every 3 tardies equals one absence.  Upon a fourth tardy, a student will receive In School Suspension.  Cuts will result in detention.

You will be taking a Global History and Geography Regents exam in June.  This will include material from this class and 9th grade.

Extra help is available Tuesday & Thursday, 7:20-7:50 and 1:55-2:25.  Please see me if you would like to set up a time to meet.
