Sept.17, 24,Oct.1--we studied and completed lesson 1 in textbook and recited "Tefilah" at services. Homework was pgs 2-8 in workbook.
Oct.15--went over lesson #1 (prayer) and started lesson #2. Read 1st line in hebrew and whole prayer in english (pg.16). Homework is: pgs 17,18 in textbook (do excercises), pg 9 in workbook, study vocabulary words
Oct.22--we recited prayer #1 (Avinu) together in hebrew and english (pg. 5) and continued to learn prayer #2 (Gibor) on pg. 16. We di pgs 19-23 in the textbook. Homework is pgs 10-11 in workbook. Each student to do 1 line as follows: #1-Morgan, #2-Faith,
#3-Alex, #4-Nick, #5-Sean.
Oct.29--We all read together aloud prayers #1 and #2(see above for page #'s) and finished studying prayer #2 in textbook up to page 26. We went over meaning of "gibor" which is strength, power and hero. We discussed that having a "good name" is more important than being learned or powerful and that to get a good name you must be a hero by doing good deeds. We colored a crown to which we will add each week i good deed we've done or 1 heroic act to fill in the points of the crown. Homework is to do a good deed this week and tell the class what you did and study prayers #1 and #2 for TEST NEXT WEEK!!
